System Integration aspects of train detection

The Actel Axle solution is an excellent example of a system integration approach. The track and vehicle are working as one system. Wheer in the classical approach the vehicle is seen as a static elemant (a resistance) Actel Axle recognises the highly dynamic behaviour of the electrical wheel-rail contact and is influencing this contact from the vehicle to create one single system together wit the track side signalling equipment.
